Nice! Can't wait to see it knocking around!

I've heard good things about Penfold Panels, I'm in Hythe just down the road, were they quite reasonable price wise? I'm getting my mini on the road soon, it's currently satin black, but I'm thinking about a colour change.

Penfold arent the cheapest around but i think their workmanship is fantastic and the they are friendly honest guys! I have had the mini painted at other places before but penfolds finish and attention makes them the best i have personally used. Head down there and ask for a qoute :D This area has loads of minis about but none that meet or go cruising!

I know, it's really annoying!

There's a few VW's as well in Hythe and a couple of retro Austins. It would be good to set up a retro car club, meet up at a pub with plenty of parking.

meanwhile.... we have the grill ready to go on, its a abs motorsport japanese style mesh grill, carbon fibre. Dont know how it will look on the car as i have not seen one in person before :S

Fella - that's an absolutely cracking looking car! Lovely colour that really suits it.

Looking forward to how that grille looks on - never seen one before.

Any carbon touches planned for the interior to carry the theme throughout?

Steve

Cheers man! The colour was an expensive gamble, which i think paid off nicely :D

Interior wise ive gone for black.... EVERYWHERE! lol. The seats are standard cooper ones which are half leather, comfy and hold you relatively well. door cards, roof lining and carpet are black and so is the dash. The dash will hopefully be replaced by a carbon one in the near future but i was worried about over doing the carbon so il give it some time and see what people and myself think.

I will try and get some pics up of the interior at some point, i find it very hard to photograph interior and make it look good at the same time.

Well its been a while and much and more has happened. We finished off the car the thursday before last and it went pretty smoothly. she was then mot'd on friday and passed :D im now using her as a daily for the time being but hopefully if i can find a cheap car to start using when the winter comes,

The ride is damn hard and without any sound insulation pretty much anywhere it as loud as anything to drive however i am loving it, so good to be back in a mini!

anywhoooo here are some pics of the car my brother took.

your mini looks amazing! When you bought your carbon roof from arc angels, which option did you go for and what was the cost and waiting time for it? Ive been searching for the right one for weeks!

Thankyou josh! I ordered an option 3 carbon roof and bootlid from them, both are full carbon fibre with no fibreglass at all. I paid around £800 for the them together, they put a discount on them for me as i my order came to quite a bit :D the order took around 6 weeks to come as they were super busy at the time, normal time for them ive heard is around 4 weeks. I would recommend arc angels in a heart beat and especially the carbon roof, it is made a little bigger so the fit on the roof is perfect unlike others you see that have a few inches gap between the gutter and roof.

The miglia arches are standard arches which i bought from abs motorsport. They need grinding down on the edges against the car to match the contours of the body work, which you have to do with all miglia arches i believe. There was also a few hair line cracks in them. Overall they were ok, not great though!

Hope this helps!

If anyone is interested i had the car on a rolling road during the week, the engine is putting out 78bhp at the flywheel, very chuffed with that considering its not too modified in the bay :D

Shot a usual rolling road vid.
