I used to get people waving and beeping in normal cars, I sometimes find myself nearly doing it when I'm driving my Polo - people must think I'm crazy

I force them to the side of the road to discuss specs...

Ok, ok, I don't go that far.... but all the aforementioned methods of acknowledgment still stand.

Wow three mini's in one day, I did a 90 mile round trip the other day, all country lanes and A roads and didn't see another mini, but if on the rare occasion I do I always flash, wave and smile, and always get the same reply back. I was testing my daughters Metro Advantage and saw a lovely blue mini coming towards me, flashed, smiled and waved and they returned the same back.

I often get people in other classics and sometimes 'normal' cars flashing and waving when I am in my mini, as they arent so common in Sweden.

I often always need to pull up and check nothing is hanging of!

I had a land rover flash me and I thought I best stop to check to see if anything dropped off. Haha

I usually get waves and/or flashes from most minis around my way, even a little old lady driving an immaculate city waved back once

I went past a chip shop the other day and 2 kids were waving at me through the window, so waved back. My stepdad didnt know what was going on as he didnt know bout getting waved at by randoms on the street lol

Warm and fuzzy haha

On another note, was walking up to my car in asda car park to hear some young chav girls go lets push a trolley into that s****y mini. I said 'you best not' and they scarpered away. No respect these days lol

There are loads round here at the moment! :D almost everybody waves and flashes. When I was driving a Seat Arosa when the Mini was off the road I used to forget and still used to flash and wave and generally got blank confused stares off them haha

The best one I have ever had was the other day. It was a nice sunny day so at lunch time I decided to drive up to the downs with a couple of mates. We stopped at a pedestrian crossing as a whole class of school kids was crossing. They must have been about 8 and they were still being made to hold their buddy's hand as they crossed haha. One of them saw the car straight away and shouted "MINIIII!" and thus the rest of the class stopped and stared in the middle of the road hahaha. Watching the teacher trying to shoo 30 kids out of the road was so funny but I felt the need to appologise as the teacher gave me that stern annoyed look that only a teacher can give :D My mates didn't understand what was going on haha!

I'm a waver, and a flasher, and a hooter! :P

I do quite a lot of motorway miles, meaning I get the time to have a little cruise with other minis if I see em, have a good nosey at the car, give em a wave and then get on us way :D

Half the fun of having a mini is shouting "MINI!" whenever you see one parked or waving at moving ones. Obvious exception being L2B or other runs, where your arm would get a bit tired lol.

Absolutely. It's the only reason I bought one. ;-) jokes.

People who don't wave back make me feel sad (and a bit stupid).
