Haha it was pretty difficult but it just took a lot of wiggling and bending and generally ramming it about like there was no tomorrow :P

I could lift one side up just enough to get the studs nearly clear, and then I'd just try to do quick forceful movements to get it out bit by bit :)

I'll get a hammer.

Edit - thats my go to tool, thats why I enjoy doing lower control arms. Gives me an excuse to whack something with a hammer :P

They came with the car, and I haven't done anything concerning legalities, I've never been stopped for them :)

So it's been a while!!!!!

I haven't been very consistent with my picture taking recently, so I've sorta been waiting for a time when I can make a post which has a reasonable amount of content. So here it is!

Been working on cleaning up the engine block for a bit, and have now removed the flywheel and clutch etc so that the block can be removed from the gearbox. I'm gonna finish cleaning up the block before I do this, so I don't get any muck in it;

I've also been sorting out what bits from the engine bay I'm gonna get shot blasted and powder coated, and what parts I'm gonna do myself.

Me and Craig went to Brooklands, and made a weekend of being with our two Dutch mini friends, Erik and Hugo. We went to minispares on saturday where I bought all the gaskets and seals I needed for the engine, as well as some braided hoses and ****. Ended up being a fair amount of money!

Anyway, here's a picture of us all at Tesco on the Friday night;

I've still got a fair amount to do, and a few bits to buy! I'll get some more photos up of the stuff I'm buying/ have bought another time, and will keep you updated with how progress is going on both the engine and the car.

Thanks for looking!!!!

Simaig.

The amount of time and effort put hes putting into meticulously cleaning brackets and bits that won't even be seen I think you can eat your dinner off this engine bay once Simon is finished with it :P thanks for the comments

Good work as always Simon :kiss:

Nice to see progress guys! Reminds me, those bits could use power coasting on SirD as well.

Another notch on the to-do list. :bah:

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Scotty, nah, I'm gonna be going down to 10's :) Not sure on arches yet though! Got some ideas kept locked away from prying eyes though! :teehee:

Thanks Neville, it's going slow but steady. :whistling: Good luck with yours!

And THANKS CRAIG! :wub:
