Nice one lads! You planning on putting the bonnet stripes on it again? I am not quote sure if I think it needs them or not. Hummm.

Also I think some of the early type glass indicators would finish it off a treat

Yeah Jon I had that debate but I'd have to elongate them since the bonnet lip has been removed.
As for the indicators, they're definitely not staying like that, I think I'm gonna go for some low profile ones, they're just well expensive :S

So happy you've rebuilt it and got it back on the road :) It looks great and is a credit to the both of you. As for polishing your pipes try Autoglym vinyl and rubber care. Just spray it over the engine bay and leave to dry. It lasts ages and makes engines look like this... Oh how i miss this car

Thanks for all the kind words everybody. Simon is currently in America working at a Mini garage in California, hes a lucky boy! meanwhile I'm at home, about to leave for work!
We took the Mini to Beaulieu and it didn't miss a beat. It was a great show and we had an awesome time with our dutch buddies and the others we saw along the way!
All photos taken by Simon
We convoyed down with Ben, Josh, Hugo and Erik
And got to see this awesome Mini sprint which lived in California for years in a garage, and was rebuilt at the place Simon is now working! it was gorgeous
And I won't share many photos from Simon's trip so far since I'm sure he'll be eager to show them when he gets back, but let's just say that the quality of work on these cars is absolutely stunning! It's a great place for Simon to put his attention to detail into something at a more professional level, he's gonna do great!

If you want a deep black (wet look) on vinyl and rubber use Auto glym if you can find it. http://www.autoglym....-and-trim-gel-5
I tried to open it in english but it didnt work but you should be able to find it in England. I have been using it on tyres, enigne bay and interior on showcars for a couple of years.

Strange thing is you probably live within a mile of me, can't ever recall having seen you about, or many minis locally for that matter.

Bit of a random messy update, so much has gone on in the past few months, too much to mention haha.
So IMM happened, which was awesome. Took some photos of it at the show - it was also Craig's car's first mini meet after 3 years of building which was good (a big milestone if you knew the full story), she was looking fancy.
We actually travelled out to Holland the week before in Craig's car, to see Erik and some other Dutchies out there, and then roadtripped back with him on the Thursday for the IMM. So the green Dutch mini you see in the photos is Erik's car. Was a great experience, so much fun.
Cheers for looking :)

It's a pain to be honest, the front wheels rubbed when driving through the campsite on the bumpy field, and I've got the shocks set stupidly firm.
It's not fun to drive haha, gonna soften it up a bit to where it's comfortable enough and then see how much higher it needs to go. Can't be bothered to do anything to the car atm anyway so I'll do all that winter time-ish
