aha I have the same issue on really cold days, end up getting all irritated when working in the cold and end up throwing my spanner somewhere and going indoors

So me and fagbucket started this on Friday afternoon, but we spent the majority of the evening trying to get the garage light working. (As well as helping middle aged women in Corsa VXR's get up the hill outside my house)

So lets pretend we started on Saturday :proud: (We started at about 2 since we were tired. So we stayed in bed.)

It's been hideously cold and stuff, what with the snow starting on Friday afternoon. But you know. We're men.

EDIT: Just found this photo of me moving the car on the Friday. I had to turn it round so the front was facing outwards in the garage:

Where it all started:

Posted Image

We've done a fair bit since then, haven't managed to get many photos but if you follow the Haynes manual religiously, you'll get pretty much the whole story!

Few pictures for fun:

This last picture shows Craig under the car about 5 minutes before we went in, so it's pretty much the most recent and up to date photo of the car:

Posted Image

And to give you a small idea of our progress so far:

Posted Image

Tomorrow's plan is to get it pretty much ready for the crane (if we get up at a more reasonable time!), and then we'll figure a way of getting the crane to us.

Thanks for looking!

Hoping to be done and ready to remove it all by tomorrow and collect the hoist for Monday and then she's ready to go! :o

Well you have done better than me, looked outside a few times and thought "too cold, will stay in and do coursework" and ended up playing mario instead >_<

but spent £300 on a new exhaust, inlet, and panels and bought a 1275 to go in, so getting inspiration back to get mine back on the road in the next half term ready for brooklands mini day

Today's progress:

Lots more snow. ^_^

We've managed to get to the stage where we've just gotta remove the driveshafts, and then it's DONE. :proud:

Here's some pictures to tickle ya fancy:

When you lift the engine out the drive shafts normally just fall out. I love this thread. The pics you 2 upload crack me up.

So we did absolutely nothing yesterday, because we couldn't be bothered :P

But today we managed to get it completely ready for the hoist.. all we need now is to get it!

One random picture:

And this picture shows what the engine looks like now:

That's all really! Next update will be when we've got the engine hoisted out.

:mrcool:

Thanks for looking!
