shell is usually cheaper than supermarket crap which all comes from the same supplier

Maybe so, but they use the bottom of tanks when making the fuel, so it's all the crappy stuff.

nah when crude is extracted it's rated by its API and petrol made with crudes with a lower API have more contaminants

I use Sainsburys, Tescos, Shell or BP, have used ASDA before but that fuel seems to vanish far too quickly! But generally if I need fuel it's whatever garage I come across first - I don't like playing dare with my mini :P

theres a Tesco's in shirley that 3 times in the last 5 years has put the wrong fuel in the wrong tanks.

they've had to shell out a fortune in insurance claims for new engines.

shell/total for me.

i used a local BP and my needle never moved, a mate used to use the same garage regularly but he had the same problem.
how can you prove whats coming out the nozzle??

I usually use shell but can't say I've noticed any difference with supermarket stuff, except the price.

in Dorset they ramp up the prices where i live as it's 2 miles from the coast...

plus the guy that owns the local 2 petrol stations is a complete and utter w****r
