Been having some problems with the exhaust at the moment, damn thing wont stop popping and spitting flames......

hehe we started burning spider webs in the garage and it just escalated from there. I'm a long way from starting it

Engine is finally back in

Got the bulkhead all sprayed up with satin black. looks much cleaner now





Then dropped the engine in tonight, engine position played with and got clearances everywhere including the cv's. Bolted the fuel rail and stuff onto the inlet and added a couple of other things such as starter motor, brakes etc. Mainly because ive got friends coming down tomorrow from scotland and want this thing looking decent. Despite the lack of exhaust, thats getting tinkered with tomorrow









Sorted, next plan - turn the car round and get started on the rear subframe. Something tells me i aint going to enjoy this

my project started off as a rally build now ive decided to go for a black & gold jps lotus theme

Not much of an update, hangover from hell so just a quicky

Did some work on the car on saturday morning, got the exhaust manifold trimmed down so it fits in the front bar. Like i say this is just being used to get the car started. Also got the wiring all plugged in and tidied away. just to make me feel that this is further on than i actually am.







Also checked my dash still fits...



The heater doesnt fit back in its original slot because of the bulkhead box. any advice? might just hang it lower with longer bolts

hey, i had the same problem because i rebuilt my dash... i had to buy a after market heater matrix in the end.

this is where i got my bits from... i also had a fabricate a aluminium box to go on the cover to draw air from outside the car.. that dont come with the kit. of course you could make your own with rivets, mastic and a beer car or somthing... check out my thread on how i done it.

or you could relocate the heater matrix further down which might mean extending the hoses.

Bulkhead is difficult, if stuff don't fit after then you gotta go by what you seen already

You cheeky git! Thats my pic! Its not there for your fun and games you know!!!!! but it could be....

That b16 is still sitting here and looks like its not gonna be rebuilt any time soon.....so if you do get stuck then you know theres a breather box sitting here for you

I'm gonna be away for a few days now so if your in a rush I'll take it with me, or I'll just keep it to one side when your ready

Oh and theres nothing wrong with 'completion' shots, we need 'em...keep at it, its looking good
