I think rose petals would suit your car with it being a racing style mini and because that's what the racing coopers used

One guy explained to me the reason there are no center caps is because they don't want anything to fall off on to the track. So I guess that says something about it's racing heritage


I think another bonus was that if they ran without the grease caps you could get a socket on the hub nut and so the whole wheel, drum and hub assembly came away as one to make easy access to the rear brakes and probably similar good access for the front. Don't quote me though, I could be wrong :-)

I have a set of 6x12 Rosepetals that I bought from Avonbar back in the late 1990s. They were made by CR Wheels in Japan and I've only seen a few other sets on Downton Clubsport Coopers from around the same time.

I was told that the reason for the lack of centre caps was to allow for the use of "spinners / knockoffs" on special threaded hubs instead of wheel nuts which would speed up wheel changes in circuit racing
