it's just a general question, didn't mean to upset anyone, just the same as asking someone why they put coil overs on instead of the cones

it might not be a medical reason he might of heard loads of good stuff about the power steering

i dont see why people are getting touchy about it. if you are disabled then a disability car would be better suited or get someone who can drive you in the mini. PROBLEM SOLVED!!

whats the reason for wanting power steering? steering isnt that bad.

have you lot not considered the poor chap may have a medical condition?
arthritus or something painful like it?

he may be doing all he can to enjoy his mini!

Well if thats the case, dont buy bloody mini then,

Yeh i can imagine the scenario, yeh urmm, im sorry but you have slipped disks in your back so you need to avoid sudden movements and any kind of harsh jults etc,

Oh right ok then, Well off to drive a classic mini for its sensational comfort....

maybe he already owned it before sonething went wrong and cant bear to be parted from it, would you want to sell yours if you could make it work for what you need??
stop being so bloody arrogant

Guys can we stop the silly back and forth? If you're not going to add any useful information there's very little point posting.

There are already numerous threads about the positives and negatives of PS on a Mini. I'm sure if the OP wants to he can use the search function to find them.

How to drive away new members from the forum ...........
If the classic Mini was still on sale today it would need air con, power steering and electric windows as standard, time moves on if so someone wants to fit some modern parts so be it. The MPi Sportpack Mini's needed power steering anyway at parking speeds, as does every other Mini I have driven on 13" wheels/175 tyres but at the end of the day it is just down to personal opinion and preferences so why do some make it such a big deal everytime this ps question gets asked? :(
