Dont worry bailey they are talking about meeeeeee

OP means "other person" before someone moans like bit*h

I've always thought it means Opening Poster.

Why do they need justification for fitting power steering anyway. People don't get the same grilling when they ask about changing the engine for a more powerful one, which is equally non essential.

i didn't want to make a massive fuss about it or start a massive grilling, i just wanted his personal opinion as to why he was doing it

have you lot not considered the poor chap may have a medical condition?
arthritus or something painful like it?
he may be doing all he can to enjoy his mini!

Well if thats the case, dont buy bloody mini then,

Yeh i can imagine the scenario, yeh urmm, im sorry but you have slipped disks in your back so you need to avoid sudden movements and any kind of harsh jults etc,

Oh right ok then, Well off to drive a classic mini for its sensational comfort....

I sometimes have slipped disks in my back and i still drive the mini :shifty:

Well now that everybody has got that out of their systems can we get back on track and try and give the OP a serious answer to his question irrespective of the whys and wherefors.

Remember folks its his car and he can do what he likes with it. We may agree or disagree but what he's going to do is not going to affect you personally.

may i ask why?

The reason I would like to get power steering is I only have one arm and the other has a crack in it.
I also drive a Toyota Townace mpv I can turn that around on a tanner.
Thats why

you will need a
CORSA / COMBO ELECTRIC POWER STEERING COLUMN EPS AND CONTROL MODULE from same vehicle and one of these to control the speed sensor.

http://www.ebay.co.u...4#ht_1899wt_951

than you will need to do a small bit of fabrication and there you go.
powersteering in a mini. or any vehicle you want to install it in really

motor is on the side of the column, looks like a window motor, not had one apart but shaft looks like it goes straight through.
have driven one with corsa column fitted and felt exactly the same when it was off, but with it switched on it feels like a small car should, yup feels and drives fine with power steering.

Hi Anon

The EPS column out of an MGF if a bit of a nicer fit into a Mini as the whole thing is a little more compact. As far as I understand it can also be used with the same aftermarket controllers as the Corsa one.

hello Mintec
Have u got any jen which could help me to put powered steering onto my mini would be grateful my e.mail address is [email protected]

Thanks
Bryan
