Wow two comfirmed fails out of how many been sold, mine's still alive after 3 years a -15c winter and 5 engines and for 60 quid who cares about welds.

Mate had a uk alloy built rad with nice welds and shinney lasted 2 weeks befrore it spilt, he asked for them to look at it see what they thought and they dident want know full stop, wast of 200 quid.

Well enough people are using them without issue so its really up to personal preference now.

If you want nice welds pay £200

If you dont care how it looks pay £55

Both appear to do the job they were intended to do!

get a radtec one . much nicer last longer . looks better and always will

I have had both chinese and Radtec back to back to test and apart from the Radtec looking a bit prettier, the Chinese one is just as well made in my opinion. I had both pressure tested by a friend who worked at Lola and they were both more than up to the job. The one big difference (and it pains me to say this as I buy British wherever I can) was customer service. The Chinese supplier responded to emails promptly and was incredibly helpful. It was delivered well packed as promised. By comparison I found Radtec service poor. I had a couple of questions which they promised to get back to me about and never did. I phoned again and same thing happened so I gave up. I bought a Radtec second hand but wouldn't pay the price for one new. This is just my experiences but when I buy one for our work project it will be coming from China.

those welds look fine, no undercut or porosity, no spatter or ugly stop starts, why would you want to grind them ?

Hi there, sorry it has taken so long but here are a couple of comparison pictures for a chinese rad against that lovely Radtec one. As you can see my motor is for driving and not in showroom condition so the welds do not bother me. Happy hunting.

I've had one for over a year now and nothing has gone wrong, nothing wrong with them at all!

They delivered it from China quicker than I've received items from UK!

Really? The rad tec one I have is not much better and both easily passed pressure test, only difference I have found is that rad tecs customer service was poor when I contacted them but the Chinese were brilliant, sad, but true..

I have the exact one in the link and in the pictures above.......well i've bought 3 now for different minis. The one in my scamp is at least 3yrs old and still going strong. :proud:

Its taking alot more punishment then the super2core i had before and it cools the scamp quite nicely........dont have to even put the heater on in hot weather while in traffic

The only issue i have had is that i've had to shorten the bottom hose so it clamps nicely onto the bottom of the rad due to the way they have welded two pipe together to make the angle, instead of just angling one pipe. Makes it easier to remove though when doing engine bay work ;D
