That one has been designed to hold an Iphone 4 or 5 fitted with one of the rubber cases. Will also make one that takes them without the cases for people to choose between.

Looks good, FYI totally not my fault if they dont fit but provided my measurements were correct there shouldnt be an issue!

Turned the little tabs from your drawing into spring clips to allow a bit of tolerance and to hopefully make them easier to fit/ be more secure.

I suspected you would do something like that, I just modelled them to match the height, width and profile of the standard ones so you could then do what you needed with them, If i didnt have 3 big assignments due this week including a full CAD model of an engine then I would have modelled it more accurately :)

I have to say there is massive potential with this 3D printing...
Massive! I am investigating buying a printer as the potential is too huge for me not to give it a go, all those little bits I have lost that I could print replacements for.
Obviously it does require knoweledge in both CAD modelling and also hardware and software bits and bobs, but its an awesome concept!

With sites like thingiverse and grabcad its getting to a stage where you dont really need any cad skills to get started. The machines are almost at a consumer level now aswell, I reckon within the next 12 months there will be a few sub-£1000 machines that are just plug-n-play with no/minimal maintanence.

I know but even the simplest of things it would be great for, But even if you could buy the cad design online and you could just print them it would be brilliant, no more buying those annoying trim clips....

Once I am happy with the mount I will be able to make them for any different models.

I bought one of these along with a custom made case for my iphone 5S, top quality and less than a £100 for everything. Arrived in three working days from the States.

Will be an update soon, Adam is sending me a prototype to test so I will update him when I get it with how it fits, then he can make adjustments if required :)
