Been a while..
The good news was the mini passed the MOT first time. 2 advisories, cracked windscreen (the crack i made in the top corner when fitting the new seal) and uneven rear brakes (I replace the leaking cylinder but haven't got round to the otherside).
Since passing the MOT I have done the following:
- Fitted new dash liners from Optimise Automotive
- Fitted Rev Counter
- Fitted High Energy Coil
- New HT Leads
- New Dizzy Cap
- New Rotor Arm
- New Electronic Ignition Distributor
- K and N Cone
- Changed Carb Needle
- New Carb Damper
- Fitted Overflow pipe on Carb
- New Water Temp Sender
- New Smiths Water Gauge
- Also removed, cleaned and painted Wiper Motor as it was letting the engine bay down
- Fitted Front Overiders I got from autojumble for £10
- New passenger side door light switch
- New top engine stay with Poly Bushes
Here are some photos.
Next job I want to do it an revamp of the front suspension.. it is sitting so low and the front cones have definitely had it. It's seriously letting the car down now it is running well and looking good but I'm sure the suspension will make a big difference to how it drives.
Also want to buy some overiders for the back at himley, add some Orange LED strips to the interior on a switch and wire to the door switch and maybe fit an underseat board. Wont fit any speakers under the seat so either a blank board or make one with some glovebox style doors on. I had one on my first mini but can't find anyone that makes or sells these now.
