Well, maybe he should take over answering all the technical questions which we currently address in order to just try to help our fellow Mini owners and enthusiasts.
Personally I try to give good advice and, although not always perfect, I hope it helps some owners. Still, if I'm 'silly'.............. .

Dare I say I have a playmini exhaust and alloy 4pots, old alloy wheels, will this make you upset Tiger????? I await your flaming
Cooperman, you for one told of your disgust to dtm exhausts to the guy who posted a video of his car a few days back?!?!?!
Everyone has their car how they want. I was taught as I grew up, that if I didnt like something, I wouldnt tell the person.
Im getting fed up of this on the forum putting other peoples 'exhaust, brakes' down just because they dont like it.
The OP asked how to lower the car, not SHOULD he lower it, its his choice what he does.
So if it upsets you that some of us have Minis lowered near the bumpstops, tough.

Still, he's getting fed-up with us on this forum, so maybe he'll be off somewhere else soon. We can but hope as we'll not be deemed 'silly' then.

The moral here, is if you want to lower, do so, its your car. Do it safely and properly. ie get the suspension and steering sorted out by a professional or at least someone with the equipment and knowledge to do the job. But be prepared to suffer on anything more than a trip to the shops. Use good quality high lows, or cut the trumpets using the ratio's previously given. make sure you stiffen up the suspension with at least red spot cones or you will suffer body damage, otherwise you could tub the rear arches, cut the fronts and limit the steering.
To do this job properly, there is a lot of work involved and you will have to remove the front trumpets for cutting / changing, and if you have never done this, get advice or a good finger surgeon.
Scaremongering? Not me.
I may have left some bits out but i think you get the idea. If you want to go ahead, then come back for more details.
Im off to visit another Galaxy now so may not be back till tomorrow.

As far as handling goes...... handling is opinion. You might prefer the feel of a lowered car, you might notice no difference. Do what you want.

Perhaps we were trying to save the OP the disappointment he'll get after lowering his car if he actually wants to drive it in a sporty manner on the roads. But, hey ho, some just think they know best.
Maybe we could leave them to answer the more complicated questions we do our best to resolve for people.
Lowered cars are for the race track where the suspension issues are properly addressed and the track surface is absolutely smooth. A lowered car on the poorly-maintained roads of the UK is crazy, especially if it's not done properly and is done to a car with so little available suspension travel. Looks a bit silly as well.

So what if my car is 'too low' for optimum handling, its not all about function, aesthetic has key too, and as a design student to me this is crucial.
Maybe you should listen to what someone actually wants, afterall its not your car.
