How much more tidying u got to do ryan before paint?

 

i need to clean the rest of the manky underseal off the rear load bay and arch then give it all a good 80grit DA to give the new paint a better chance of holding on! The front end inside the wings and lower bulkhead is all ready for DA! On my next day off i will blast through it and get it masked ready for some paint !

Cool sounds like its all quite straight forward just alot of sanding/cleaning and peping the area.. Get that DA out lol keep the pics coming cant wait to see this take shape :)

Well.. I can safely say this is going to be my 'bible' for the next few months! Just got a 65 van which needs the same work doing. Just having a quick look through has cleared up a lot of confusion on subframes and gearbox tunnels. 

Cheers mate glad I can help! Please bare in mind this van has been re- shelled at some point so my tunnel is not the correct shape everything else I have converted to how it's supposed to be.

Yeah, I think I'm in the same position. Makes life a bit easier for building an engine and box though eh :) some great work you've got going on!

My mate come over today so we set about stripping the gearbox and block!
Crank out!


And here's the box with all the gearbox parts laid out ready for when the rebuild kit comes! Block and crank are being taken to get bored out/balanced ASAP !

I'm hoping 1340 I dunno much else my dad's mates sorting it out for me he's had lots of minis !
