Here is a few pics of work done in the last few days ! been cutting and welding today as well! Just ordered a wheel arch for the drivers side only because if i patch it it will never look as good as a new replacement panel :) Need to roll it over again to remove the arch and the rest of the rear valence closing panel

Hmm instead of using that step, call m-machine and get their full width step it include even the area of the stepped corner under the lamp panels in one piece. It is also cheap :)

Tuppers has a pic of the panel on post #453 it is the last picture in that post

You will find the panel you have is straight where the real one should have a very slight curve along it's length, sticking further out in the center then at the ends. They will also have the stepped sides, although they are fairly easy to make, their panel is very cheap to buy.

Right update for you ! :)

First of all i went to work this morning and got sent home so decided i should work on the van! opened my post to find new wire wheels!
Posted Image
Then i got the arch to heelboard closer ready for welding in and clamped it in place!
Posted Image
welded it in and started to grind off and re -weld any holes
Posted Image
Posted Image
primed up to prevent surface rust !
Posted Image
After this i decided to finnish up the quarter panel and prime it up
Posted ImagePosted Image
This side of the van is starting to come together got to do it all again on the other side XD but i will get to that in time ! i have had to try my hardest not to start on that side untill this side is complete as it will all become to much ! i need to get some more cutting discs before i can weld the new rear floor piece in !
cheers !

The smooth roof thing is not all that important at the end of the day - the fun is sitting behind the wheel, not staring at the roof in pictures :D
