Now at least i know the drivers side rear post is in the correct place and the door gaps will be ok!. Also found out it has been in an accident this side and had to remove a quarter inch of filler from the hinge area and knock the dent out (should of been done like this before! ) need to find a way of twisting the post as well as its been slightly pulled from were it was hit.
Welded the rear corner repair partly in need some more cutting discs to double cut it across and seam weld the join up

and here is a picture of the hole that the door catch goes through taken from under the car!

Will get some cutting discs asap and hope to get the drivers side finished cant belive i have used 13 already!
cheers!

Tacked it and removed the grips

started to weld in different places each time to avoid distortion

fully welded

ground it all down and sprayed some 182 over the top :)

Also welded up the holes on the other side that were covered with tacked on patches

I will be starting on the other corner next! cheers !

I can't see the door catch on mine from the underside as the valence is in the way.

I have fixed the driverside rear door post that was bent by cutting it, bending and re-welding it on was the only way it would straighten out :) here it is re-welded on

started on the passenger side this afternoon so I got the sandblaster up and running and blasted out the box section under the floor and gave it a coat of 182

Double cut the floor repair and welded the edge on to the wheelarch

Tacked and intergrips removed

Fully welded in Looks a bit crappy but it was all done without a mask as mine has broken! so im facing the other way when welding! Got it down to an art! haha

Ground it down and bit of primer over the top to protect. Used my new 40 grit flap discs i got from the NEC classic car show on friday

The rear end is looking better! door step and inner valence next!

More updates when i get round to doing some more!

After 9 years in the making! I'm hoping to have mine done around the same time.
