nice job on the front end, looking mucho neat!

looking at the front end before you ripped it off it looked like it had quite a bit of filler in there as well, bonus on getting rid of that!

and as others have said, literally ram paint into that seam before you go over with sealer, and on the back seam as well, before sealing that also! and for sealing, run a bead into the seam, then run your finger along it, pressing it in, but without removing the seam completely and making it look de-seamed:) and when you dont, let it go tacky ( not dry completely ) and then put primer over it. you do this becuase if the sealer was dry, the paint wont stick to it, and the paint will crack after a few months. if paint is applied when the sealer is tacky, the paint sticks and flexes with the sealer when you are driving along. the paint will not crack:) bit of a tip there for you :P

what are you going to do about the corrosion on the inner wing, flitch panel and floor where the subframe mounts, it may all be surface rust now, but you may be replacing that front end in a few years time if you dont conquer it now! :D

Thanks for all the hints on the sealer :)

As for the surface rust I did get it back to metal and treat/paint it, probably should of done better but I really need my car!!! I can live with the fact I may be doing it all again in a couple years maybe, I gave everything a good prod with a screw driver and didnt make any holes.

I havent touched the floor yet as my windscreen leaks, I'll be changing this at the weekend I hope and I'll wire brush/grind away at the floor to see the damage :(
Was all a learning process really, I'm quite happy for a first time.

Theres other areas on the car that need addressing and as ssoon as I find a car that I canafford to insure ill be treating the minI to a de-rust session :)

It was Moss, they were doing a 20% discount at just the right time for me.

Didn't mention they were out of stock though.

I'll have plenty of time to practice my welding I suppose. I'm a bit pish at it so far :shy:. haha
