bit o progress.. you know that bootfloor i just welded in.. yeah...
hmm. i cut it out.

you read right.
i cut it out and started making some angle bracketing to hold the floor in

note 60 degree angle steel to get angle right

left side in and welded up


smooth as ass.
childish test fit

ally floor


will have a hell of a lot more rivets in it when its in for good. this is just so i could make templates for the holes at the front.
then some patching


obviously by no means finished. you can still see i have replaced it! cant be having that!
next up, works dash!

how come your making the boot floor from aly? why not fibreglass or carbon? is the ally floor what it had originaly
i have a grp one next to it! i wanted to keep the metalwork fabrication feel to the car so i made it from ally. not fussed about weight, although it is bloody light! also needed to mount the tank low and central.

in truth, i finished it thursday afternoon, but i had lost an ipod cable until now and twas bi birthday on thursday.. 8)
boot floor is nice, lighter than std aswell



and the fuel tank brackets. tick ally. still too heavy so i got buisy with a hole saw
