lucky bugger. mine was£2000+ last year, i was18 then the car is a 998 with 2 inch big bore and alloy inlet manfold. this year was £900

Lol insurance is really random! Last year when I got my mini and had just passed my test my insurance was:
£2700 for 5000 miles, third party fire and theft with Adrian Flux. Ridiculous amount of money since the car is worth £3500!
Renewal was £1600..!
I checked through confused.com and a quote of £600 popped up with Admiral :S we managed to get it cheaper as we have got two other cars with Admiral :)!
I have no idea how I got it so cheap lol
Try Admiral and see what they quote you :) hopefully they also give you a really good quote!

i'm 18 and unemployed
for my 89 998 mayfair i was £2100 but this year was £862...
i should say that for corsa's etc i was being quoted £4000 plus...

The last time I was insured, I had 1 year NCB, 1 year of previous experience, age 19. Standard 998cc. £750 from Footman James.
Just taken a look now as I haven't been driving since 2010...so 1 year NCB, held my licence for five years now, age 22. Modified 1275cc. £360 with Lloyds TSB.

£516 fully comp from Herts with breakdown & trackday cover.
998 with stage 4 head, cam, exhaust etc etc, full cage, buckets, stripped inside, coilovers & rear beam, adjustable camber etc, GRP bonnet & boot all declared.
Age 35 with no NCB due to running a company car, kept on driveway overnight in Bradford.
