Lol insurance is really random! Last year when I got my mini and had just passed my test my insurance was:

£2700 for 5000 miles, third party fire and theft with Adrian Flux. Ridiculous amount of money since the car is worth £3500!
Renewal was £1600..!

I checked through confused.com and a quote of £600 popped up with Admiral :S we managed to get it cheaper as we have got two other cars with Admiral :)!

I have no idea how I got it so cheap lol

Try Admiral and see what they quote you :) hopefully they also give you a really good quote =]!

Sorry for not responding so quick .
It's on a Q plate so it's classed as a kit car as it was IVA tested ( although new rule state you don't need to IVA a car over 10 years old now )

As its a kit car they think i won't drive it as its a weekend car . But I use it every day getting 50 mpg !

It's all registered . All Lagit ..

Sorry for really late reply.
It's on my own. Not quite sure how my dad did it but he's got two other cars insured through Admiral. He then added my mini onto Admiral with it under my name but with him as a named driver.
