I hOnestly don't understand people like this, taking on work taking money and obviously having no intention of completing it, James is yet again ignoring me!! My problem is the financial cost involved in going down the legal route, plus even if you win, getting any money back at all can be problematic! Well he may have a problem with me after all £600 went into his fathers account, wonder if he minds the police knocking on his dads door! I've luckily kept all emails, and the 2 reciepts he gave me along with bank statements showing money going into his dads account! Cant imagine his family will be best pleased with his behaviour, specially bringing his problems to the family door!!

The money will have gone to his dad because he as a CCJ (court judgement) which ruled he had to repay the customer, court costs, legal costs etc and is now been chased by baliffs to recover the money. Its a sly trick, he will be moving as much of his belongings over to other people in hope to avoid loosing them. Unfortunately for him, if hes got a house, this isnt a simple case of pleading "its not mine". The CCJ will stay with him in future, prohibiting his mortages, loans, business loans etc.

This information about him taking money into his family accounts and still carrying out work might be useful to the money recovery process by the baliffs.

Plus won't his dad be liable for £600 of my money seen as I have the statements? Dragging your family into this situation is awful practice! I'm so worried!!!! I actually had a response off him this morning saying he will reply to my questions at 1pm, 😓just seems he's taken money from me for nothing! Looks like I'm going to be £1200 out of pocket afterall

That's the sad part about it, if I'd have known I would never have gone near the place! I just hope he may have learned in some small way and gets the work moving (wishful thinking I no) ever the optimist!
Does anyone no how much it cost the person to go to the small claims court and to get the judge to enforce the verdict? I obviously don't want to let him get away with my money, and as long as its not to expensive I will follow that route also after Saturday! Just the headache I need.
Wonder what happened to the other person, they never updated, did they get the car finished? Anyone no??

I think it boils down to decency, a decent person can't do someone over and just skate over it.
