It would seem it's been quite a while since I last updated this so I figured I should probably share some more pictures.

The front end is all nicely lined up and welded on now.

The original Crayford bracing has also been reinstated and the temporary bracing removed.

Looking good.  Is there any additional bracing inside the rear bins?

If you don't mind me asking how much does it roughly cost to get a shell blasted? And does all underseal etc need stripping first?

Thanks Danny. There's a length of folded steel running along the sill inside the pocket although I doubt it does an awful lot.  O_O

I can't remember what our blasting guy charges off the top of my head but I'll find out.

We were supplied with a perfect pair of doors buy the cars owner and after a little adjustment on the hinges they fit very very nicely.

After lots of measuring I salvaged the smaller MK1 indicator plinths from the original front panel and got them all lined up on the new front panel.

After a lot of careful welding and linishing they're nicely flushed in.

I also saved the original valance corners and they are now tacked on ready for final welding.

M-Machine will sell you one. They modify panels to early Mk1 spec.

PS Tupers, progress looks good, thanks for the update.

Thanks fella, M-Machine sells round valance corners to weld onto latter front panels so it wouldn't really be worth the cost of making a whole new panel.

Thanks for reading, I do like a bit of progress.

I thought I had another couple pictures of the valance all welded and linished down but apparently not.

Instead here's a couple of the interior and engine bay in primer and underside in schultz and colour.

I don't know that genius is applicable but I'll take it anyway.

Our resident bodywork supremo has been hard it recently and has the interior, engine bay and boot painted. Just a final round of blocking on the exterior to go and the rest of it can be painted.

Looking very good, is it being painted in cellulose or 2 pack as I am still undecided on my rebuild.

Thanks Daz, this is sprayed in 2 pack.

The exterior is now in colour as well and looking good. Sorry about the fuzzy pics.
