All a waste of time trying to work out his mpg when didn't say how much fuel he used.

No but he did say:

got me 208 miles from a tank.

It might be near enough for you, but it wouldn't be for me. and to then embarrass yourself (the OP) by claiming 54 mpg when it could be 27 mpg, like I said a waste of time.

Yes because I have embarrassed myself tremendously haven't I...

Just because i didnt type the exact amount of fuel used, does not mean i have just gone "ooooo must of used rougly that" and plucked a figure out my arse. Get a life.

I have dug out the receipts and re done the maths,and turns out I was correct in the first instance.

And to be honest, i never asked for you to work out my MPG for me.

I asked for peoples experiences so people could compare and might be a useful resource for the forum as the topic does come up. However i apologise for creating a pointless thread and for embarrassing myself.

Because to be honest, In a mini... Im hardly going drive sensible and economical.... The sounds are just to orgasmic to ignore.

on the m42 i dont experience orgasmic sounds...just a long dull drone and when you do 12,000 miles a year, fuel consumption becomes quite a big factor.

Unless you've got a 3.85 gallon tank thats not 54mpg, it's about 27mpg........

Aha well i may have got my maths very wrong.

Il soon find out as iv download a fuel tracker app on my phone so can monitor it every time i fill up now

208 miles to a tankful or 7.5 gallons, so 208 (miles) divided by 7.5 gallons (max fuel tank capacity) = 27.7mpg

Sounds like damage limitation to me, clearly you are embarrassed. Not that I really care, I do it all the time. It's when you try and wiggle out of it that makes you look like a fool.
and anyway I didn't try and work out your MPG, and I did add a post about my MPG.

-17.88L to 224 miles.

Last week me n the family did 135 miles around the lake district, pretty much all the passes lol so the mpg will be lower than everyday driving. Awnyway aint worked it out yet but set off with a full (brimmed) tank returned home and was on half a tank. Dont know if thats good or bad as i dont know the capacity of a tank lol. Standard car 998cc

Anyone care to work it out lol, i'm guessing around mid 30's ish

Cannot get better than 36mpg, 96SPi, even if I drive max 60mph.

Well what do you know, I had to do 470 miles in my mini yesterday, it seems I get best mpg ( so far) at a constant 70-75, I averaged 42.7mpg, it was all motorway.

Best I have got from my 1981 998cc Stage 1 mini is around 35mpg...worst is about 25mpg . Jealous of everyone that is getting more

My SPi Cooper is running on an average of 33 MPG over the last 1000 miles, interesting to note that my Carb'd fast road 1380 has an average of 38 MPG over the last 2500 miles!

worked out from the last tank of fuel i was getting 33mpg! stage1 998. 2/3rds of that is motorway driving though
