the capacity of a mpi tank is 7.5 gallons i have read. so saying you have used all off that, 200 divided by 7.5 is 26.6 mpg. think thats right anyway lol

you may have used a bit less than 7.5 gallons tho, so it could be 27-28 mpg

"Treat the pedals like money sticks" Haha love it

I drove my 1977 1098 70,000 miles (but I think it's more like 170,000) clubby estate to North Wales last week. 250 miles each way. Worked out about £30 each way which put it at the 50mpg mark.
I slipstreamed lorries on the way there at about 55, but couldn't be bothered on the way back. Did about 60-70 on the way back. Didn't seem to make a huge amount of difference fuel wise... But it's hard to tell exactly how much fuel you've actually used. Unless you rive until you run out!

Frank averages around 40mpg - traffic she eats it! And if I put my foot down she must be doing 5mpg..haha but it is worth it for the noise and speed. On a drive I have got 48mpg out of her though!

My best so far for going in and out of Uni is 45MPG, worst was 25.5MPG, but that was just after I had my engine sorted.

All depends how immature I feel on the commute. :shifty:

Usually get around 50mpg+ on a 998cc stage 1 kit, well tuned on the rollers. I do drive like his original old dear owner though...!

I've been working it out the past few fill ups and I average 32 mpg. That is with mix roads from towns cruising at about 25 - 30 to motorways cruising at 70.
