Thats true of the Merc's in the mid 90's....When they we're chrysler owned, today they're great cars. Audi's and BMW's seem to be driven by....<insert word here> in my area.
You know the people, that will over take a learner, going round a blind bend, up a hill.

Ford, Fix Or Repair Daily
Ford are awesome cars now, have improved a lot!
My 2006 Fiesta TDCI van has done nearly 4000 miles in 3 months without a problem, no knocks or noises drives like a dream!
One Ford i really want is a Mk1 Escort. Would love one of them. Or a Mexico

The drivers are complete c**ks, the cars are awesome though, mercs just seem to be missing something Audi's have.
Regardless, French cars are just terrible, irregardless what they're like to drive they're crap to work on meaning they're an awful owners car!

Im so glad so many of you agree that Renault are crap. Its almost like they have been designed as a example of how Not to do things!
What apart from their 5* Safety ratings across the range, and one of the best hot hatches of all time, infact all of the Renault Sport range is absolutely brilliant.
The Twingo 133, Clio 172/182, Clio 200, Megane 225. They handle great and they go like the nuts.
I'll just leave this here:
Obviously you haven't had to change the cam belt on a clio...
Even the alternator belt is a nightmare unless you have the fingers of a 5 year old

I love old escorts, although I couldn't justify what they cost as they aren't even that good of a car, the prices are just ridiculous!

They used to be great, built a reputation of reliability - but they don't live up to that reputation for me any more.
Either them or Vauxhall. What utterly boring cars!

Mk4 golfs gearboxes are too weak and to have any VAG car without the engine light on (lambda sensor fault) is a miracle!
Engine light isn't on in our Mk5.. Neither in our neighbours, Ibiza, (basically a Mk5) or my Aunts A4 Avant. All of around 7 years old. Golf is on 80k, Ibiza on 60k and the Audi on 25k.
