I had a Fiat as one of my first cars (A Seicento) & loved it!

For me, a car manufacture is successful if it's a car you park up & can't stop looking at when you walk away from it! And get excited to jump back in to it at the end of the day!

But - that's just me - I'm a "car person".

I agree with you completely, although to me it being easy to work on is a big factor in it for me as I don't think car owners want to be forking out silly money for jobs that should be simple :proud:

Has anyone noticed none of the major Japanese car manufacturers have been mentioned? Mainly because they are brilliant. Ok Mazda could do vetter as they are in bed with ford but Toyota (when not trying to get government funding for building crappy electric cars) are excellent. Honda again are superb and Subaru when not driven by morons are good cars.

if ye can't work on it yourself its not worth looking at, thats my moto  , so that would be possibly anything post 2000 out the window with all the sensors and crap :xxx:

there are alot of so called junkers out there with some real potential... for example i'd love to get a lada and stick an RB or 2jz engine in it then go have some fun.... each to their own though :D

also shame on who said mk1 escorts aren't worth their price... their such a cool car and alot cooler than the mk2's, a fun car to have sideways but i wouldn't mind a shot in a well sorted 1. we broke a rotten 1 a year ago to build our locost from which i can't wait to take on the road when finished :highfive:

But yes, Honda's are good cars!

That would be me sir! You can't tell me a Mk1 Escort Mexico RS 1600 is worth in excess of £16,000, they're just not!

Not a manufacturer but a certain car...

Those little Peugeot 107, Toyota Aygo etc things

We failed a 2009 one on rotten brake pipes!

They'll be nothing left of them in a few years! I mean they don't even paint the inside of the bonnet, it's just primer!
