I have my tweeters in the door where it meets the window, just above the doorhandle, i think they sound pretty good
Just to add, this was my original plan but I couldn't find grommets to go from the door to the A pillar

I get you now - so 60 degrees is just to keep the sound consistent as having them in odd locations would mean uneven "sounds"...? Is 180 degrees too much?
That is just a diagram for the idea setup in a listening room, in a car many of these ideals go out the window, due to the size and shape of the car and things like steering wheels and windows etc.
But some basics remain,
The right speakers should be as far right as possible or at least on the right of the driver ear.
The left speakers should be as far left as possible or at least on the left of the driver ear.
To quote myself:
"The absolute Ideal placement of speakers in a car is not really possible. You need to place the two set of individual drivers or coaxial's as wide and as you can and at least at head height, These should be angled in to be on axis with the listener who is is a position to create an equilateral triangle between the listener’s ears and the speakers.
Clearly in any car this is not possible let alone a mini!
But what we can do is position speakers as close as we can to the absolute Ideal and use other positioning tricks to help.
So where?
In short, Full range either side at the front and the Subwoofer anywhere. Simple as that."

Ive just wired the Profile 4 up to the Genesis speakers and am bewildered at the difference! Just want to say a huge thanks for all the help and advice. Just got the subby/s to sort but will probably go for a pair of those Alpine SWE 1200's under the back seat.
Once again many thanks and mucho impressed!

Just to add, I have bought an Alpine SWE 1200 Powered sub. Budget is going through the roof on this complete car build so only went for one. According to the dimensions, I can't see how it can fit under the back seat. Might have to go on the rear parcel shelf. Guess I will have a better idea when it arrives.

Sorry for the thread bump. The sub fits under the passenger seat - just.
The shell is painted and the loom is going in. I need to buy some speaker cable to run from the amp that's under the rear parcel shelf, to the the speakers that are fitted in pods under the dash. What's going to be my best bet in terms of bang per buck? I have had a look but it's so confusing.
Thanks in advance for any help

I have that same cable for my Jukebox speakers and its fine.
Nice and slim too unlike some bulky wire i have used in the past. Should be well suited to a car i would have thought

I hate to say it, but mounting amps upside down is a really bad idea...
And sorry, as you did mention it in a previous post but i didn't spot it!
Why..? Think: What does heat do? and where can is go if there is metal above it??

When I bought the amp there was an earth fault inside so I dismantled it, repaired the fault and found a fan inside which I tested and was OK. I fitted it with a 15mm gap between the amp and the parcel shelf to aid circulation but still concerned, I phoned Genesis today. They assured me that due to the fan being thermostatically controlled there wouldn't be a problem and it was common practice to fit this particular amp upside down.
