No that will be me due to one of the threads that mentioned the evil that is mobile sheds. (can't bear to type the correct name as its an evil thing) :D :D

Sonik I'm both shocked and appalled!! :o.... I'd take the time to express my disgust further, but I'm far too busy organising a CARAVAN club rally to take place on your front lawn, next bank holiday weekend!! :shifty:

You mentioned the C word AVVIT, i know need counselling so to get over the imminent threat of mobile sheds appearing on my front lawn i have invested in several flamethrowers to help remove said items plus all of the moss in the grass so a win win situation :D :D :D

Oh and just to add where i live we do actually have a caveat in our house deeds which states mobile sheds, work vans etc are not to be kept on the property so another win i believe. :D

Tell me about it. Hateful things but each to their own but please just don't get in my way. But down on the coast we have to put up with the things.

Surely that's a banning offense under the new regime?

Actually the above is out of date.

The new levels are as follows:
  • 3 - 1 day posting ban.
  • 4 - 7 day posting ban.
  • 5 - Permanent posting pan.
  • Caravan ownership is an immediate life ban
The rules will be updated when these are finalised.

Don't panic though, the idea behind the changes is that people get two slaps on the wrist before anything actually happens to them. In addition, depending on the reason you were warned, the points are removed after so many days.

For example, spamming results in a point increment of 1, this point will be removed after 30 days.

That is until one of the mods has a few too many largers one evening and thinks it would be amusing to personalise yours with something suitably mean and insulting!

So how is mine suitable ? >_<

Keep making sarcastic replies to people's genuine questions in the technical area Charie and you will have soon enough. At least twice this week so far.

There have been numerous threads in the past about the average age of members and acceptable behaviour on the forum. Admin announced in December 2011 the following:

We will be addressing the level of acceptable behaviour, as we are all old enough to either own, consider to own or even just appreciate these wonderful vehicles, we are all old enough to hear the odd swearword. Filtered swearwords are being reviewed, also the level of acceptable swearing will be reviewed. Obviously offensive words, or swearing that is intended to insult another member will still be considered unacceptable.

Most posts that may include the odd swear word are placed in "Off Topic Banter" a section aimed at jokes etc.

It now appears that the above has not been implemented and we are being moderated for the benefit of the under 10s. A post was made in "Off Topic Banter" of a joke picture containing the word sh*t, a word that any 10 year old may encounter in the playground. A moderator decided that HE did not want HIS kids seeing such a word...see the following:

I dont want my kids seeing that kind of thing on here...and yeah they do come on. I've hidden it and have issued a warning
I have 5 kids ...3 of which are teenagers and 2 who are under 10

Working in IT I'm strict with what I allow them to see/go on

sh*it sh*itting isnt something I'm happy with

And all this from a man who suggests he has a PORN stash!!!! What is the difference between SH*T and CR*P? From a post by the same Moderator: somewhere else for the dog to crap. Talk about double standards.

Is this what TMF has come to? Are we now also being sponsored by Disney? Are we all to be treated as kids?

Personally, if I had children under the age of ten, I would be more worried about the spelling and grammar on the forum than the use of the odd swear word.
