Is that a 6R4 shell?

yep, but I don't use it in case it gets damaged as it was £35.

That and I thought it looked nicer on the wall alongside the minis compared to the shell I normally run on that chassis witch is a bit battered.

thats the best i'm gonna get it i think its still slightly out but i've been told you can't get them perfect

You certainly can't with all the slop in them :)
I use our 1/10 set up gear on ours.
You can if you set the steering linages with a digital callipers so they are both the same length. Also the slop is completely normal and helps makes the car much more forgiving, if you go and start shimming out all of the play in the steering and suspension you'll just end up with something that will handle odd and won't drive straight.

I agree that it's churlish to take out the slop but just setting the all the arms the same length won't give you a 'car on it wheels' true set up. You have to have set up gear for that.

I bought it off eBay only last year, but the company/trader that was making them appeared to have disappeared towards the end of last year so currently aren't available.

you can buy estate shells that if you just paint over the rear window would look like a van, although there would still be a bit of window detail visible... I have one just haven't cut it out or painted it yet  :proud:  You can also get pick ups

Mike could you provide a picture of the clear shell?

Sorry only just seen this, yes i can...
