sorry to hear about this to what w*****s why are they robbing minis? are they that easy to rob everytime i go to bed at night i have to look out the window to see if its still there lol
Yes easy to rob like all classic cars designed in the 1950's and 60's just look at the door keys and locks, hardly a challenge to someone willing to make a forced entry........unlike all modern cars where you really need to steal the unique programmed key to overcome built in engine imobilisors, security deadlocks, etc.

So
how difficult is a cat 1 alarm to install, for a novice
To have a cat 1 alarm approved you have to get it fitted or inspected by an authorised dealer

As far as I know, a burglar can claim against you for damages if they injure them selves in your house.
This is what the law says
http://www.cps.gov.u...useholders.html
If you have acted in reasonable self-defence, as described above, and the intruder dies you will still have acted lawfully. Indeed, there are several such cases where the householder has not been prosecuted. However, if, for example:
- having knocked someone unconscious, you then decided to further hurt or kill them to punish them; or
- you knew of an intended intruder and set a trap to hurt or to kill them rather than involve the police,
you would be acting with very excessive and gratuitous force and could be prosecuted.
So, you can't set traps to cause injury to thieves!

Yes you can - so long as you didn't know that they were going to break in.

If it was behind a locked door then you wouldn't even need to explain it so long as it wasn't in and of itself illegal. You've taken reasonable steps to protect the public from a dangerous object - if the upstanding member of the community in question has circumvented your measures to protect them then that's their fault.
