There's absolutely no reason not to be polite or friendly to other road users in any car. (even if they are driving wannabes! :D )

Certainly if I get waved at by a bini driver, then i'll wave back, but what that :( did was completely out of order.

And now I'll echo Jammys sentiments.... Here we go again.! :-

Id only wave at new mini's if they wave first, after all they must acknowledge respect to the original, and establish that they are not one of those that simply own the car as a fashion statement.

Well done to you for being so calm, :D this guy was totally out of order. If that is the sort of person who buys a new mini and acts in that way then he should not be surprised that people don't wave at him! >:-

Talk about an inferiority complex on the part of the bini owner! Just because you ignored him he feels he has to angry and aggressive. Wow!

His behaviour probably borders on a serious police charge re assault, threatening behaviour etc; so a special well done for keeping your temper and not escalating it to something more serious.

Hopefully he's just a rogue bini driver with some major counselling issues...

It was probably a hire car and the hirer clearly didnt understand the laws relating to 'Binis' and 'Minis' !

there are so many bini drivers that just buy the car for the fashion, and not for the love of the mini. So most dont deseve to be waved at, but those who do wave are the true mini lovers at heart, although they are not driving an original mini, but you never know, they may have one at home, and just use the bini for motorway driving or something like that. If they wave at you, it is only courtious to wave back. but otherwise, dont bother

does it matter? my dad used to have a reliant regal, they used to always wave at each other, now being a reliant owner would be a very lonely existence

I usually only wave if they wave at me or I see some going to/from a show...... true mini owners at home (even if they own a bini) shouldn't be outcasted..... take the local mini club around my are *cough* Staffs Mini's *cough* some of them never wave at me because I'm not part of their "Club"....... I accept that some people don't notice you when your driving because they are too busy doing the task at hand or I don't see them then thats fair enough.... I do that my self sometimes.... but for that :D to do what he did is out of order...... sure all of us get frustrated at other road users... but we don't go and start something with all of them..... i normally just swear as much as I can until I feel better and I'm surte others have their way's

Not bad for a first post aye???
