Hi,
I'm rebuilding my A+ gearbox (DAM 5626) fitted to my '85 Mayfair and currently trying to remove the 1st motion bearing. I failed at trying to drift it so using a slide hammer (Clarke CHT251) and now make an adapter to join them.
Plan is to use 30mm round bar and tap each thread into each end. I think the slide hammer is M16 fine but sent Clarke an email to confirm. Hopefully I'll hear back. The question is what thread is on the 1st motion shaft? I belive it is UNEF 3/4" or 7/8" but not sure. Can anyone shed any light?
Cheers
Dan
