Hi,

We are soon going to be at the stage of refitting the engine on my sons project now all the welding is nearly done on his 1991 Mayfair, could any one tell us if it is possible to refit it without taking off the ball joints, as we have just replaced all these.

Thanks

Lift the engine into place over the engine bay and fit speedo cable ( top tip ) lower the engine and fit the long drive shaft first and the short drive shaft, not loads of room but enough to get the job done.

It can be easier if you just pop one of them off the top arm - hardly a difficult task!   Just gives that bit more room to fit the drive shafts.
