I've got fuel and elecy cut offs and an Arduino with GPS and GSM modules. This little setup enabled me to send text messages to my car, and for it to respond with its current location. I'm currently working on a complete alarm/immobiliser system has some nifty features like remote lockdown and driver photographs that are automatically uploaded when an open wifi network is in range.
