Hi guys, huge apolagies to the ones we lost again! The road to matlock bath is mostly a functional rout to get us out into the middle of nowhere and from there on in was easy to follow deserted and picturesque routes. I think a good idea is to make sure everyone has a rout plan, I gave my copy to Sam (Orange SportsPack) and despite us loosing him in matlock he caught back up with us by following that at monsal head. Its difficult to pull over on that first stretch as its all fast moving busy routs with solid lines, and from the front you cannot see the rear of the pack even when we were bunched together, the walkie-talkie idea is probably a good one too to help with this.... and have a laf with you all along the way.

Next time hopefully your son will be able to do more of the driving, the part from monsal head stop off to the end of the run is on deserted roads and with not too many turnoffs. Im looking forward to seeing your car next time Sam and seing some of the others who where unable to make it.

Yep dec that picture was taken on what in my opinion is the best part of the rout, from tideswell to bradwell, its a little back road that no one uses, has great little fast twisty bits and none of the rout is perfectly flat or straight, its like your own private rally stage! This is where you rang up, we cut down off a little early into bradwell to meet you at the unintentional stop off in the picturesque co-op car park, complete with recycling bins :P At the pause on top to guide you into the village, my car was REALY hot, the fans not working and I think its loosing a little coolant, also the K&N airbox has vibrated loose and was banging on the bonnet. Good old Bob eh? :P but at least mine didn't loose anything on rout this time.

Its great to see some pictures of the convoy! Again if anyone wants images taken by the photographer of your car I need and email address and reg no/description of your car in pm or comment. There are LOADS of pictures, too many to post up and all too higher res to put up in full on here.

Thanks again for coming, was a great day for most, great to hear its appreciated, great to meet you all and put faces and names to user names, and that people have had a good time. I will do another in I think 2 months. When summer comes I will make it a more often occurrence.
James :)

Thankyou again James for the instructions! My printer had been playing up at home, and i'd emailed myself the pdf of the route, but it simply wouldnt open on our phones!

The stretch from tideswell to bradswell was really good, proper enjoyed that section, nice little thrash!
Had to watch out for bumps, as it's the first time ive had a passenger since i had the suspension set / corner weighted, so the ride height at the rear is less than a fingers gap between the arch, so was bottoming out, even with the dampers set stiff. All good fun though!

hahahaha, im in exactly the same boat as you, less than a finger in the arch and 1/2 and inch in the middle of the car XD so low I pulled an arch off and bent the wing the weekend before :S Hope to see you again soon :D
I have to say the view in my mirror for the whole trip was a brilliant sight!
