You must have a thermostat. Without one the coolant will not circulate around cylinders 3 and 4 and local overheating can occur. The alternative is a thermostat blanking sleeve, but these are really for race and rally engines

Removing the thermostat disturbs the coolant flow and usually makes things worse.
Edit: This post is redundant as Cooperman's has said it all. Strangely, his post was not showing when I made mine. Software bug?
