Not necessarily...

How? Other than losing (what I'm going to call the brace bar as I don't know what is called but the diagonal horizontal bar) the brace bar which means it has less strength...

You're still going to be able to use the back seat if you use a 3 or a 4 point roll cage like these:

3 point (this is something they would've used in the early 60's... well... this or nothing at all...):

Yeah! Prefer the 4 point personally! What about protecting myself and passengers with head injuries with the cage? Foam insulation stuff?!

Just use that stuff they use to insulate hot water pipes, I used it for my roll cage...:

The insulation probably isn't quite the right density. Get the proper

It is exactly the same, the real stuff is just more expensive, most people use the insulation, even in real rally cars...

Pipe insulation isn't thick enough and it shouldn't be used in a rally car as it doesn't meet the MSA/FIA regs...

Also it's worth considering the hammering you'll get off your insurance for a cage...

Do they not like a cage? Haha surely it makes the car stronger so it's safer? Or are they bothered about head injuries linked to the cage being installed?
