Do you have the d/v coming off the intercooler pipe? How well does that work?

yep the dump valve is on the charge pipe. works pretty well actualy. gives more options for placing the dumpvalve also.

sorry not added for a while. after fitting and running the engine i found that oil had found its way to the outside. on inspection i found that the timing chain cover was leaking and so was the gear change shaft (not suprised), also it was burning lots of oil. at first i thought it was the turbo but after removing the engine and checking everything i found it was worn valve guides.

so i took the head to morspeed in leicester to get it sorted

new stem seals
new guides
and converted to unleaded.

but that was three weeks ago and i have still not got it back yet. so i am waiting for that to arrive so i can get the engine back in and get the car on the road.

also i supose the main reason for not being on hear as often is my wife is due our second chiled any day now so things are a little tense. she was due on sunday the 5th of june, it is now tuesday the 14th.

so i am a very busy chap at the moment. will keep you posted.

BUT!!!!

now i have an oil leak from the crank pully. so that needs sorting. not long now.

ok hear is where i am now

i have sorted the timing cover oil seal leak, and the diff oil seal leak (that i found after fixing the timing cover)

to complete the project i have a few jobs left to sort out and they are as follows

1, mount the speedo sesor in the rear brake drum back plate
2, sort out my wipers that don't park (they just keep on wiping) need to trace my wiring on this one.
3, set up the suspension and tracking

4, and last of all get it MOT'ed

and that is it, unless she decides to break somthing else. I somtimes think she does not want to get back on the road........

so if all does go to plan MOT is booked for friday this week (02/09/05)

and if the MOT is good i will treat her to a rolling road session or two.

passed MOT on saturday, will post later.

now i just need to go to powerflow and have the exhaust re-made, then book a rolling road session.

i took it out on saturday, and found it was not boosting, the waste gate was opening way to soon. so i think the actuator is f**ked. no worries though i have a spare.

also need to get another engine steady bar as the solid KAD one is not enough, in need one for the radiator side to.

also need to sort out the heat problems, as it stands now i am cooking up the carb to the point where i can't touch it. so i need some vents in the bonnet i think.

pics to follow....

Disaster

took it to work today, on the way home i lost oil pressure. gladly it was about 50 metres from my drive so i managed to push her home.

i have now checked the guage and know it to be in good order, so i have to do the worst.... take the engine out again!! and change the oil pump.

pics will now be delayed.
