Hi there!

Sorry, back again with a non-intelligent question :P

I decided to measure the diameter in the carb for a K&N Air filter but I found that the diameter of the hole is actually 1.4" not 1.5"?

This measurement is from my old carb which was replaced so I'm assuming it's the same carb.

The pciture isn't the best but I think it's still fairly obvious that it's only 1.4" I think.

Just wondering would the K&N Cone 1.5" 998cc Air Filter fit? Also why is it not 1.5" exactly?

Thanks!

Sorry again! I couldn't seem to find another post mentioning this... there's probably a reason why :P

Kind Regards

Kapil

Don't worry, that is an HS4 which is classed as a 1.5"

i think you'll find that that is a 1.5" carb, a hs4, think you have to measure the other side of the carb, the bit where it mounts to the inlet

edit...i think!!

You need to have a radius plate stuck in there or any gain you get from the filter (and more) will be lost.

Ah I see, thanks for your help guys! :) Will I need to order a shorter Carb needle or will the carb just need to be adjusted?
