Thanks for that. R read on another thread that if I kept the doorstep in I wouldn't need to brace when replacing the sills but would it twist when I cut out the heel board?

 

 

Well that may be possible but to be honest the dorstp and indeed doorframe, B-post can fall in slightly if not braced as the doorstep isn't actualy welded to the seat crossmember when the innersill is removed, so bracing should always be put in.

 

Better still, aswell as the bracing i've done on my own, you might wih to put a brace across the door apature if you are removing the doorstep for replacement also.

 

Just take one job at a time and dont cut everthing out at once and you should be alright :)

For the price of some cheap box section from
B&Q it could save you a major headache if the doors don't fit after all that work!
Even one horizontal piece across the door aperture will be better than nothing
