i have tried a few but i find autoglym resin polish (the one with the red square on the label) i use it on the body and all the glass.

makes water bead up and roll off the entire car, and seems to make the wipers much more effective. been using it all over for 15 years now! wouldnt use anything else!

Ive got a cupboard full from every brand, always go back to super resin polish for everything, its better than glass cleaner on glass imo, its better on chrome/stainless than proper metal polish, lol. I do understand its not wax though.

I keep looking at the Autoglym HD stuff (I have some Maguires carnuba) but it sounds a faff to apply when I read the bottle, whats the deal Shauna?

What's the deal with what? Applying HD wax? Because it comes in a pot, not a bottle. It's hard wax.

Anything Autoglym. It really is the best stuff out there. I use the shampoo, super resin polish, then the gold one (can't remember what that is) finished off with a spray of Showroom Shine. Only needs doing once a year. I use Poor Boys black on my Golf and that's fantastic for covering scratches and stuff on black paintwork for a good few months.

If you want durability, I'd go for Collonite 476s as someone has already suggested. Costs around £18 but will last for a long long time. Meguiars liquid wax may give the paint a 'wetter' look but I've found that it only lasts a month or so before it needs doing again. Personally haven't tried the AG HD so i couldn't comment but usually only hear good reviews..
AG super resin polish is mainly a polish, but does have a sealant in it. As a polish, it's very good for hiding swirl marks.
Definitely recommend using a clay bar before polishing/waxing, will make the paint super smooth so once waxed, water will just fall of the paint :D

i use farcla g3 wax and that is superb , 30 odd quid a pot but it uses hardly anyting when waxing , and does last a couple of months. my routine every few months to wash , clay bar , polish , wax with the farcela stuff , leave it an hr and then apply megauris quick wax as a sacrificial layer as such so , i only have to wash it next time and then re apply the quick wax

Ah thats not the stuff I was thinking then, what is the Autoglym one in a bottle that says you apply it to a dry freshly polished car then it takes time to dry and all that? It is the next step after super resin polish as I understand.

Autoglym hd wax goes on from the pot using a special damp sponge, let it dry on the car then buff off. It's good stuff

This is extra gloss protection http://www.autoglym....loss-protection
The only dark blue label I can think off is ultra deep shine.. http://www.autoglym....ltra-deep-shine
Which could be what you're thinking off but you don't need to use super resin polish before

I've been using a sealer/synthetic wax for a while.  Very nearly as shiny as carnuba but lasts five times longer.  Can't remember the make ATM, I'll look later.

I've always been a Kleers fan myself.

"The Finishing Wax" is the stuff I use.
