After an outing in a heavy hail storm, sometime last year, my second speed on the wipers stopped working. I managed to get by over the year using rainX and the trusty first speed. However I am looking to fix this problem.

I have since replaced the parking switch on the back of the wiper motor as this also broke, hoping it would fix the second speed problem at the same time. However it did not.

Aswell as this the indicator/headlight stalk had to be replaced prior to them breaking.

Any ideas on fixing this issue and where do i start?

Thanks Adam

If there is power to the column switch and the contacts are ok inside then if it were me us make sure that there was power at the plug at the wiper motor end and then check the brushes inside the motor housing.

My guess would be the latter, but rule out the simpler things first.

In the FAQs electrical there is a article which shows which wires bring the feed in testing of those will show if its in the motor or a supply problem.
