Why would you say that??!! I could do with a new interior for that too though the drivers seat is wearing through....

So if I just happened to turn up and do a quick interior swap.... for a nice full leather interior.... reckon anyone would notice?
Spotted an XJS like ours on that link as well
poor babies.
Jags actually faired worse than Minis, over 740 Jags were traded including over 40 XJS models.
I was surprised at the amount of Jags, I bet most of those owners are seriously kicking themselves now

Out of interest what limited edition mini are you referring too?
I saved one myself. Paid a garage 2800 to get it from them. The dealership had a guy who paid the company 2000 to save it. He had put it up on ebay for 4k. Seems too familiar!
Drove it until the mot was out and after the purchase and work I actually made a loss on it but I let it to go to a decent mini nut who has been doing a running resto on it.
Happy to lose a few quid to see it saved tho. It was pretty bad in areas.

Have to admit I can't remember, I'm sure the advert I saw it was being sold on again from some who had bought it from the guy that had saved it but I can't be sure. Does sound like a weird coincidence though.

This was a blue mini cabrio.
That's not ringing any bells with me,but certainly worth saving never the less.

I hate that scheme. Such a waste of so many nice older cars. Why the hell would you trade an old Jag or Mini for sodding Kia or new Fiesta, or whatever else was taken. New cars are great machines, but they have no character and no charm. They should have just let the market run its normal course. It would have forced the manufacturers to drop the prices, or produce a lot less cars. These firms would have suffered in the short term, and yes they would have less capital for R&D and the like, but they would have got through it and come out the other side.
New car prices in general just mean its really not worth owning one (for me anyway). There are so many 90s and early 2000 models that are perfectly good enough that unless money is no object, new cars are just not worth the money.
Its a real shame all those cars can't be saved. The government could easily overturn its decision, and sell off every car still in existence through auction, and put all the money to good use for something. I am sure there would be plenty of support for such a plan, even if a few people who bought new cars might be rather annoyed at the government making money from cars they traded in.

I don't fully understand, are these cars still dumped there from 2009? They can't have much security then...
