266mph in 2nd gear with a standard 850. Guy in a Bugatti Veyron only just pipped me by a couple MPH on the autobahn. I would show you but obviously my GoPro broke/didnt exist/wasnt switched on

I can get to about 55mph at 4K on my 998. I want more power...
Have you found fourth gear yet?..
dude, that IS 4th gear! it's a mini van. no idea what the fdr is though.
Sounds more like the final drive than a power issue, my 998 with a 2.9 dif will easily do 60mph at 3k in 4th.
yeah, true. How is the acceleration with the 2.9?

My 998 A+ in the hornet on 10" with a 2.95 cwp will do 80mph all day at 4000rpm we run most if the way to the nurburg ring at that & if you push it up to 4500 when it gets very noisy it will just about get 90mph .but in 4th you can't get anymore than 4500rpm. It's quick from a standing start but not as quick as it used to be when it had a 3.7 cwp but with that it was 6500rpm in 4th was 73mph. All speeds are by GPS with satnav. & the Speedo agrees with satnav when it catches up.

I've had 78.6mph out of my standard 850, recorded via gps.
But damn was it uncomfortable/scary!

I would get the wheel balance checked. and also the condition of the tyres.
should not do that.

Brand new tyres and could very well be the balancing because of this haha. She shakes a lot when i brake too - not sure what thats all about. Much better since ive had the subframe replaced and bushes etc but still not great lol

Couldn't agree more, although 60mph on tight twisty roads would be better :)Doing 100mph in a straight line isn't as fun as doing 50mph on tight twisty roads :)

Mine is happiest around 55, 70 downhill on motorway seems to be terminal velocity and not pleasant!

Havent tested mine yet, had a very bad needle ( way too rich at full throtle), in 4th with 5/8 of the throttle it does around 100-110km/h
Will report back on full throttle ;)

all I'll say is it gets there eventually, normally in my case a 100 yards before the next roundabout.
