I have a 1983 998 single carb Mini has point distributor ,ON acceleration cars runs rough , Revving engine will standing still part throtle i can hear a miss . When driving down on power and a distinctive stumble from the engine . Plugs ,condenser.coil . All recent additions .

I would recheck the points and see if they have closed up due to heal wear, what about converting to a aftermarket electronic ignition it make the car more reliable as todays quality on points and condensers can vary. Accuspark/Powerspark/Britpart all do a kit for less then £30
