So I haven't updated this post in a while, but I have been doing some small things and getting lots of useful parts.

Got some bits from Doug that will sort out a couple of things that were wrong.

Light switch and connector as that circuit was botched when I got the car, the throttle cable fitting was incorrect too and air box bolt broke a while back too.

I've also gotten a second set of GTS clocks, (this set is in much better shape than the other one), a set of NOS black wiper arms ( biggrin.png ) and a full set of original grey carpets and sound deadening with the Leyland whirlpool on the driver's side.

I was also able to get a set of new pads for the calipers, so that is one step closer to being fitted smile.png

I also visited my mate Abri (massive mk1 anorak) and he helped me reset the valve clearances, and it turns out I hadn't done a bad job, it's just that the shaft is worn and is going to need replacing soon(ish).

Also I figure it is time to brave the elements and consider sorting out the gear selector, which is super floppy. I assume the parts to fix it aren't going to be cheap, but hopefully it will be a job I can tackle myself.

Pictures to follow (when I take them) tongue.png

Oh and I got a metal air box :) Looks decent, but perhaps I should figure out how to make it look shiny with like a lick of gloss black paint or something.

Did some things today, gave Caesar a good wash and detailing. I also got around to fitting a new carb fast idle screw (old one had stripped) and the correct throttle cable fitting. Also fitted two NOS wipers that look mint :)

Next up, the light switch. Need to get connectors from the electronic store (or our elec eng dept :) )

Gordon had those NOS wiper arms and a couple of sets of carpets. I need to clean the carpets before I post a picture, they are quite filthy :(

Got myself a secondhand rod change selector mechanism to refurbish too.

And here are the second set of GTS clocks I mentioned in a previous post. They are in stunning shape and look practically perfect.

Thanks Jared :) I would PM Gordon and check if he still has a set. What colour are the carpets in the GT? Brown or grey?

Thanks dude :) I'm keen to clean them up and get them fitted.
