Hi All I have a problem with my washers for my window screen not working, where would be the best place to start? If you pull the washer stalk you can hear it trying to pump water through!! It's a 97 Cooper 1275 Mpi

If it's trying to pump water through then it could be a blocked pipe, take off the pipe connected to the pump and try again (make sure you have something to catch the water in). if it comes out then it's likely to be a blocked pipe or jet.

If you can hear it trying then its ether the filter in the non return valve (if you have one) is chocked, or the jets are choked, so put a small needle in the holes and wiggle about as washer fluid does congeal, dont use air through the pipe it just blows the balls out.

Or something I come across from time to time the rubber impeller is stuck in the pump body and the motor shaft spinning inside the impeller,

Pull to outlet pipe off to see if any waters coming out the pump is so the jets are chocked.
