Hi all

At some point I’m going to have to fit this 1275 engine that I’m rebuilding with AC.

It’s going to replace the 1098 that’s in my clubman.

My query is about fitting it in to the existing front subframe; my understanding is that the 1275 engines were fitted further forward to give more clearance at the bulkhead, so am I going to run in to clearance issues at the bulkhead because of the 1098 mounting holes being further back?

If there will be an issue can I assume that it can be solved by drilling new mounting holes further forward?

I’ll be using a hif44 initially.

Thanks all

They were only further forward in SPi/MPi cars.
It will fit in place of the 1098 perfectly.
