Plastic imitation aluminium checker plate floor mats.
Nodding dog in the rear window that has eyes that light up whither brake lights.

Oh and the must pathetic waste of money, the BMW Mini, that isn't mini at all. Why would you buy a company to get the Mini name then build a big car?

Think you might have wandered off thread there.....it's about aftermarket gadgets....

I had one of those anti-static strips fitted to my first Mini in the 90's supposedly to stop the crackling on the AM radio. It was fitted to the rear valance and all it did was cause a scraping sound to resonate through the whole car. Sure I have it still somewhere in my hoard.

...Those magnets that you used to clamp around the fuel pipe just before it went into the carb. ... The reality was that you just had a couple of magnets that spanners & screw drivers would inevitably get stuck to whenever you worked on the engine ...

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!
They are a genius idea and would have saved me a whole load of grief when I kept dropping washers and bolts whilst refitting my carb.
F***ing awesome, and I won't hear a word against them. ;-)

Carbon fibre wrap on all sorts of parts???  WHY?

Why wrap things in sheets of plastic, making them heavier, to make them look like a lightweight item?

Do those rancid green trees count as a gadget?
If not, how about those rancid little bottles of eau de cesspit that clip onto air vents?

Failing that, and possibly a bit kitsch controversial, fury dice!

where do you start - Whip aerials, tartan rugs, nodding dogs, those jack up kits fitted to early Cortinas added about 6 inches to the leaf springs, lake pipes

Lake pipes are awesome when piped up on larger cars

granted not much good on a little mini

I had them on my mustang - they looked fantastic with a nice sound to them

their only fault was they got very hot , & would burn me when I got out , if I didn't pay attention
