That's awesome! So you coming to MITP in that now, or the Astra still?

I've only got a Tamiya M03 Mini. I really want a RC Helicopter, but yeah your buggy is pretty beast :P

If the suspension and body could take it, I could sit on it without much trouble. :shifty: 26cc, so not slow. ;D

The chassis got bent. It's nearly sorted, but I fancy buying a new one, and do the job properly. I'm also thinking about upgrading to monster beetle spec with a few little extras. :shifty:

Just finished building this, nothing fancy but I wanted a kit to build rather than a RTR.

FG Beetle 4WD, with a 26cc Zenoah engine. :shades: The blue monster truck is a Team Associated MGT 4.60 SE, with stiffer, red, springs. I've also got a Tamiya 1/10 scale Escort Cosworth, and a 1/6 scale Traxxas Monster buggy, 23cc. ;D

I managed to get another, new, chassis for the FG, so just collecting all the other bits. I'm planning on upgrading quite a few parts along the way, such as alloy shocks, metal gears, getting 2 speed in the future, and monster truck wheels for off-road ect.

I've only had a little blast in the street and I was surprised how good it handles as its not the best engineered kit ever, needs a 14T motor now :-D
Full ball race included in the kit is good though.

More like a brushless and lipo setup! That will get it shifting

Electric models are seriously quick, if built properly. :highfive: I love the smell, and sound, of 2 stroke too much. ;D

I made mine quick, kept stripping spur gears. Then I put a metal spur on, then I was breaking driveshafts, so I upgraded those, then my rear diff went, replaced that and in the end the magnet in the motor broke into 2! Thats what happens when you put a decent brushless and lipo setup in a cheaply made car!

My firestorm flux on the other hand, which had well designed transmission and diffs with a spur gear clutch system was great. Bulletproof, very fun and the hpi plastic compound is pretty tough. A little trick, if you boil your plastic suspension arms (I think that's what theyre called, the arms which connect the hubs to the chassis) in water for about 30 minutes, then let them cool, the plastic changes and becomes less brittle. I used this trick alot and it does make a difference. (I did still manage to break them though, but it's cheaper than RPM plastic parts!)
